The Fixture Difficulty Rating (FDR) is based on a complex algorithm developed by FPL experts.
A set of formulas processes key Opta data variables, along with each team’s home and away form over the past six matches, to generate a difficulty score for each Gameweek opponent.
The FDR helps FPL managers plan their transfers and team selections. It is reviewed and updated weekly as the season progresses.
